How to Make the Most Out of the Last 90 Days

To say 2020 has been a challenge is a massive understatement. However, the hard reality is, whether you’ve progressed or declined this year is solely dependent on you and what actions you decided to do (or not to do).

It’s not COVID’s fault.

It’s not the economy’s fault.

It’s not the government’s fault.

Step 1 towards moving forward is taking responsibility over your own life choices. We must get out of this mindset that everything in our lives has to be perfect before going after personal growth. Life continuously throws curveballs at us, especially those that desire to become better, so we must be able to take the hits while still progressing forward.

Point is, there is still time to salvage this year if you haven’t moved the needle forward yet. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, pull your big boy (or girl) panties up and MAKE THE CHOICE to make the most out of this last 90 days of the year.

So how do you do this without overwhelming yourself?

Weight loss? Financial growth? More intimacy in your marriage? Choose 1 thing to give your 100% on to keep your mind focused while avoiding distractions by other shiny objects you might want later on. Before any goal can be achieved, the VISION has to be so clear that you can FEEL how it would be to achieve this vision you imagine.

𝗕: 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝟰 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹...

a. Who is someone you can talk to that has what you want to get guidance?

b. What is a book you can read or podcast you can listen to that targets this specific area?

c. What is one small action you can do each day to move closer towards this desired outcome?

d. Whatever you learn from a, b, and c - what can you in return teach to someone that is in a similar position? (you can’t always take, take, take if you want to grow)

The greatest piece of advice that was ever given to me by one of my mentors was that if I wanted something I never had, well, there is someone out there that probably has it so I should go speak with them and simply ask HOW they achieve that goal.

Sounds pretty simple. That’s because it is! We are so afraid of failure that we never proclaim our goals or even make the small step required in growth which might be sending out a text message or leaving a DM to someone we admire that we know could help us.

STOP being afraid and simply TAKE ACTION. The word “fear” is also known as “False Evidence Appearing Real.” Whenever you find yourself hesitating to take action, become aware of that fear and simply say, “no, thank you. I won’t be taking part in this fear today.”

Remember, the last 90 days is indeed about creating loving memories with family and friends due to the holidays but that isn’t an excuse to shy away from goal setting. What has happened this year due to COVID, rioting, elections...it is all in the past, LET IT GO and do not allow outside influences to determine your personal growth.
