3 Exercises To Quickly Tone Up On Limited Time
The daily schedule of a parent can be hectic to say the least. For most parents, just the idea of performing a regular exercise routine while trying to maintain a healthy diet around their daily responsibilities is just laughable. This is why in 2020, I knew my health coaching business had to pivot in the direction of helping parents. As a father of a 4 year old myself, I know the struggles parents face when trying to maintain their life responsibilities while simultaneously understanding the importance of living a healthy lifestyle so they can experience the highest quality of life possible.
This is when I started to "tinker" with my fitness programming to see first hand if I could still achieve my desired results while limiting the time I spent exercising each week. To my amazement, I was able to take my 90 minute workout routines 4-5x a week down (1 muscle group per day) to only 3 full-body routines per week and still maintain my level of fitness. My curiosity grew. I then started adjusting the selection of the exercises I was doing to see if I could shorten the total time spent in the gym for those 3 days.
As of the writing of this blog and uploading this podcast episode, I'm currently performing 3 workouts per week that only last around 30 minutes each. Most workout sessions only consist of 3-4 exercises. And yes, I've only gotten stronger and improved my overall level of fitness after doing this.
