How To Properly Detox
CLEANSING became our latest wellness buzz word 1-2 years ago and companies are taking full advantage by releasing juice diets, detox pills and various other strategies to gain your hard earned money! But, are they worth it? Well, as most of you know by now, if you’ve been following me for the last few years, I’m huge on following a more natural method. Keeping your gut health optimal is something to be best kept up with as a daily lifestyle regimen, NOT a program you follow 1-2 x’s per year. This way, you stay on top of things BEFORE they get out of hand and you experience any type of illness. 1. This starts by controlling what you eat! Fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, protein and legumes all play a key part in the detoxification process and shouldn’t be ignored! Poor daily diets is the number one reason as to why over 60 million individuals experience gut issues every year! From the household chemicals we breath in, to the pollution in the air, to the plastic elements that are in our drinking water, to the pesticides that are on our foods; our bodies are constantly fighting a battle. It’s definitely hard to avoid everything but we should try to be conscious of the things we can control such as drinking from filtered water, avoiding processed foods and washing our hands frequently.

It might not seem as fancy as “buy this 30 day detox program and lose 5 pounds,” but it’s truth backed by years of research and evidence. Before reducing yourself to a lot of gut pain, stress and medicines, take back control of your health and begin to do things the natural way!
